[toggle title=”The Best Ocean Front Vacation Condo Rental, on the Best Beach, on the Best Island (Maui) in the World!” open=”no”]

Aloha to the Maui Mana Kai #215 website.

So say many people who live on Maui. They should know, as does the readers of Conde Naste Magazine whom have selected Maui as the best Island in the world for fifteen years running!

Maui, in Hawaiian, is called “na ka oi” or in English that means “The Best!” “Mana” means“Spirit” and “Kai” means “Sea.” So Maui Mana Kai means the best vacation condo rental in Hawaii. You simply get more for your money. Period.

In the next few paragraphs, we will answer your top questions about location, looks, availability, rates and more.

[toggle title=”Where is the Mana Kai Located?” open=”no”]

The Mana Kai is located at 2960 S. Kihei Road, which is right on the border with world famous Wailea and all their overpriced five star hotel resorts.

By the way, 90% of the vacation rentals on Maui are individually owned and rented condos.

The Mana Kai has 98 of them. Their floor layouts are all the same. The 2 bedroom units have a total of about 850 square feet. The rooms can also be rented separately as a one bedroom with the oceanfront lanai (that means deck or balcony) and full kitchen or as a “hotel” room which is the second bedroom. This is done with the magic of what is called a “lockout”. There is a locked common front door and separate locked doors for the one bedroom and for the hotel room.

The hotel rooms are all on the side of the building away from the ocean. In summary you can rent both rooms together as the two bedroom or just the one bedroom or just the hotel room. The one bedroom can sleep 2 on the king size  bed and two more on a king size high end sofa bed. The two beds are separated by Japanese style “Shoji” doors which offer visual privacy, but not audio. The second bedroom or “hotel” room also has a king size bed, but upon request, it can be split into two twin beds.

Yes, there are two in the building: The Five Palms Restaurant, good food with ocean views, and Zacks, a high end deli and general store.

tos, a five star restaurant, is literally a short stroll away: Pretend you’re going down to the beach, turn left, go 100 feet and you’re there. There are many eateries in Kihei town and in neighboring Wailea.

[toggle title=”Is there a Place to Get Married? Getting Married on Maui” open=”no”]Yes, and right on the beach! The locals call it “getting Mauied”  Or at the two restaurants. And I can help your full wedding party and guests get their rooms at the Mana Kai.[/toggle]

[toggle title=”Why do I see different rates quoted? What is the Difference Between the Quality Levels of Superior, Deluxe and Standard?” open=”no”]

Because all of the rentals are NOT of the same quality. They break into three categorys.

  • Standard: Furnishings/appliances may be older, although everything works and maybe clean. Don’t forget you are right on the beach and the wind sometimes moves the sand around.
  • Deluxe (renovated within the last 5 yrs);
  • Superior (renovated within the last 5 yrs, highly upgraded with granite countertops, high quality cabinetry, tile floor, new appliances etc.

I call 215 a Superior Plus because of all the extras above and beyond a Superior unit.[/toggle]

[toggle title=”What is the Beach Like? Snorkeling? Golf? Shopping?” open=”no”]Best beach in the world. It gently slopes with the softest sand you have ever felt. You can stroll down the beach for about one and a half miles. Snorkeling is great right there at the Mana Kai.[/toggle]
